"Old Times Not Forgotten" Quarter Sheet watercolor by JR Monks

Recently I have spent time out in the field working on some ideas I have for paintings including windmills. Often when I am in the middle of developing these ideas I do watercolor paintings to test compositions, and color selection. Occasionally, I am happy with one of these studies and show them publicly and offer them for sale.

The iconic windmill silouhetted against the sky along with the load out chute, old fence, and water tank all made for a really fun piece. It reminds me of all the time spent with my dad checking cattle, fences, and water.

I hope you enjoy it.

We create to make better understandings of the world around us, and ultimately make our world matter.
