Painting with a big brush and lots of paint

Partners In Art

I am incredibly lucky to have so many partners in my artistic journey. Currently, my wife and son are hand in hand on the path with me whether it be on a reference trip, doing some field painting, going to a museum, or simply yending to the business of framing and living a life with art they are by my side. My friends and family continue to partner with me by attending events and tolerating my passion.
All of the mentors and teachers over the years, notably Paco Young, John Seerey Lester, Matt Smith and Especially Talph Oberg have partnered with me sharing an critiquing all along the way. My galleries and all the staff make sure my art hangs in beautiful spaces, and work hard to inform and welcome patrons. Owners, such as John Cogswell offer support and guidance and are such an important partner.
Last but certainly not least my collectors and patrons who see my work with the same passion and vigor which I create it, my partners are always there. The myth of the lone artist, misunderstood and solitary thankfully is not my reality.
I am blessed to have so many people along with me on this incredible journey, each and every one a partner in art!
Thank you all

Hi JR-this is your cousin Jackie. I have noticed a great deal of growth in your paintings over the past couple of years. (I admire Matt Smith's paintings a great deal, btw.)
