Painting with a big brush and lots of paint
Under the Western Skies- a watercolor workshop opportunity with JR Monks
Paint Bold Beautiful Skies
The sky has been my muse and inspiration for many years now and I believe watercolor rules supreme for capturing the moody, atmospheric qualities of our Western skies. I am excited to offer a one day workshops filled with information, demonstrations, and advice on painting skies in watercolor at the Showcase Gallery in Greeley Colorado October 26th 2018 form 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
We will briefly review materials but really jump right into nuts and bolts of how I handle my watercolors to create beautiful blue Colorado skies, moody and atmospheric skies, and stormy threatening skies. You will walk away from this one day experience energized and ready to paint skies that not only look technically correct but really tug at your viewers emotions!
I encourage beginners and those with extensive experience to attend.
Please see my website under the workshop tab or contact Colette Pitcher at 970-356-8593 for more information and to sign up.
See you there!
