Painting with a big brush and lots of paint

Summer is in full swing, temperature today will be in the high 80's, birds are busy, and flowers are in full bloom. I stay busy at the easel year around; however, summer is especially important as I generally am eager to get outside and paint as well as complete ideas for paintings I sketched out during the long cold months of winter.

I am excited to share with you a painting currently on my easel. While I don't have a title yet (feel free to suggest one) I can tell you this guy is out on a beautiful day checking to make sure the barbed wire is up along a particularly nasty stretch where the soapweed, sage, and other plants have grown into the fence. It is only a 3 wire but it serves the purpose.

I hop you enjoy this peak into my studio to see what I am up to, and I hope your summer is off to a great start. While you are at my website take a look around, sign up for my newsletter, and check out the new work.

Thank you for coming along for the ride.
